Silly string, decorating, lots of pink and pastels, all the trimmings for a 9th Birthday party. "Oh no," I yelped, "Kerry's got the silly string!" We searched everywhere for that stuff and finally found it at Target I believe...but we were definitely happy we did.
"I got you," or, "Take that," were common shrieks you would hear during our 20-minute battle royal between several kids, Kerry, myself and her parents in our front yard. Had to wonder if our neighbors thought we were nuts of not, but oh well, it's all about having fun!
Somehow I was able to 'run' AND 'carry my camera' at the same time...as you can see in this image of me 'getting' Kerry pretty good!! She had 'pastel' hair and I looked like some sort of 80's-crazed band member at the end!
Here's Isa's good friend, Marisa, who began collecting as much silly string from our new 'Silly String/Bermuda' grass. The ball looked similar to a softball within a few minutes!!
Decorating the cake was a whole-nother adventure as I had to make frosting from scratch and couldn't find something to decorate so added the white frosting to paint her name 'ad-lib', then cut up some chocolate-chip granola bars and made a trim...yes, Julian can decorate sometimes! lol...and the 'heart bracelets' were a hit!
